About April MacIntyre
Raised in a historical estate built in 1865 on Baker Road in Little Nahant, Massachusetts, April survived her childhood by perfecting the art of snow bank diving, riding her bicycle indoors and tree hugging whenever the local bullies were nearby.
Completing her Catechism at St. Thomas Aquinas, she soon became disenchanted with the Vatican II changes in the Church, performing Latin Mass in the privacy of her own room with her beloved Virgin Mary statues and wishnik dolls in the audience.
Dead smack in the middle of puberty she was abducted to Florida for a short enough period to avoid Melanoma, or picking up any usable Spanish.
Enduring her father's incessant upward job climbing, she was taken against her will to Texas where she was forced to enroll in elocution lessons, perform the Cotton-Eyed Joe and eat chicken fried steak by the locals.
A lukewarm performance at the University of Houston was followed by yet another westward move to Los Angeles.
Today she resides happily in California as a freelance writer and editor for Monsters and Critics, a UK-based entertainment website.
